Practical setup guide

How to connect social media accounts to AutoPoster

Connecting a social account authorizes AutoPoster to use the capabilities that the network makes available to the connected profile or page. Complete the connection from the Accounts area, confirm the destination carefully and keep credentials out of notes, briefs and support messages.

The exact authorization screens belong to TikTok, Instagram or Facebook and may change. Follow the labels shown by the network, then return to AutoPoster to confirm the result. Connection does not remove platform rules, review requirements or the need to monitor publication state.

Step 1

Open Accounts in AutoPoster

Sign in to AutoPoster and open the Accounts section from the authenticated workspace. Review any existing connections before adding another one. If a connection already represents the destination you need, do not create a duplicate without a clear reason.

Step 2

Choose the network

Select the supported connection flow for TikTok, Instagram or Facebook. AutoPoster should direct you to the network’s authorization experience. Check the browser address and continue only on the expected provider page.

Step 3

Authorize the intended business destination

Sign in if the network asks you to do so, review the requested permissions and select the correct profile, page or business asset. Names can be similar, so use the provider’s identifiers and account context rather than relying on a logo alone.

  • □ Correct network account
  • □ Correct business page or profile
  • □ Expected permissions
  • □ No unrelated destination selected

Step 4

Return and confirm connection status

After authorization, return to AutoPoster and verify that the connection is shown for the intended network. If the provider reports an error or the account is not visible, do not assume that authorization succeeded. Repeat only after checking the troubleshooting notes below.

Step 5

Use a controlled test

Before scheduling important content, prepare a low-risk item and follow the normal review process. Confirm the selected destination and publication state. A successful connection is necessary, but it is not proof that every future media format or provider operation will be accepted.

Step 6

Maintain the connection

Networks may expire, revoke or restrict authorization. Review connection status when a publication fails and before time-sensitive campaigns. Remove connections that are no longer used according to your organization’s access policy.

Troubleshooting

The expected page or profile is missing
Check your role and permissions inside the social network, confirm that you signed into the correct provider account, then restart the supported connection flow.
Authorization completed but AutoPoster shows no active connection
Refresh the Accounts view once, then verify whether the provider displayed a denial or partial-permission message. Do not paste tokens into a support message.
A previously working connection fails
The provider may have expired or revoked authorization. Reconnect through the supported flow and confirm that the business destination still exists and your role is unchanged.

Build a repeatable content workflow

Start with accurate business context, prepare a focused brief and keep human review before scheduling. AutoPoster organizes the work; your business keeps the publishing decision.
